This time last week me and Katie were sitting front row as judges at the local primary schools English Competition. Each primary school put on a different play from 'The Three Little Pigs', to 'The Shoemaker and the Elves' and 'The Ugly Ducking'. Each school made a huge effort with their sets and costumes, and the children had great fun acting, singing and dancing. We turned up not sure what to expect, but they all did very well and were really cute. Each act was in English, so we had no worries of understanding.

At the end of the performances it was time for photos so we were up on staged with each class crowding round us. A few of the kids came up to us and were thanking us for coming in a way which was like they'd just won an Oscar or something, some were very overwhelmed and even had tears in their eyes from happiness. That part was a little strange, but it adds to the whole Chinese Show experience.
